This is a good quality keratin.I would recommend you have somebody that does this treatment for you. I took it to my hairdresser, as it’s very strong in odor.It has a very strong smell.It is important to wear a mask and gloves when using this product.It tends to last longer than most products I’ve used. Lasts about 4 months to take the frizz.I would purchase this again.
The fumes are strong but this product will leave ur hair so straight u can let it air dry and there is no frizz!! I don’t usually leave reviews but I’m truly impressed. Both of these pictures were without straightening. Just air dry and go!
This product helped me love my hair. My natural curl is very tight and very dense, it looks fuzzy, dry frizzy. This product helped loosen and soften up my curls, and makes it way easier to style even tho it’s very short right now. Best keratin I’ve used because it works at the first try. Do it in a ventilated area since it contains formaldehyde.
You can believe the hype. Kerragen is just as good as the one time I paid almost $200 on a cruise to get a keratin treatment. Also believe the reviews when they tell you to do this in a well ventilated area. It’s misleading at first cause it doesn’t really smell that bad but the fumes started burning my eyes even though my mom was helping me apply it outside. We probably used too much but it was our first time. Took forever to blow dry and my hair felt sticky until I washed it. The whole process from application to flat iron took about 2.5 hrs. I waited almost 72 hours before washing and blow drying again. Pictures provided are the before about 8 weeks after my first and only professionally done keratin treatment. After picture is 72 hours after treatment after I washed and blowed it dry, no iron, no smoothing oil. 10/10 so glad I got this. $40 for the bottle and it’ll probably give me a years worth of treatments.
Me and my mom tried this product the other day and WOW. My natural hair texture is coarse, pretty thick and would say i have mostly wavy hair with a few curls if i reallyyyyy work in products and don’t touch it. It’s very rare for my hair to remain frizz free without either a ton of products (which usually leave my hair feeling heavy and oily) or a ton of high heat & tension. I noticed my hair had become very brittle leaving it hard to manage and to leave natural no matter what products i used and almost never touching my hair to heat. So i decided to give this a try as it is also supposed to be really good for your hair!First image is my hair air dried natural (before product) and the last pic is my hair air dryed after using this product. My hair is now so silky smooth, dries faster and so manageable! I am still able to work with my hair, curl it, style it, it’s just easier now, lasts longer & i don’t have to use as much heat. I washed with a clarifying shampoo twice, worked in the product on damp hair, I left it in for 45 mins (time recommended is on bottle) then blow dried with my Revlon & straightened it on 410. I wound up leaving it in my hair a full day like that before washing like normal.here are my only cons: the smell/fumes during the blow drying/straightening process and how long drying takes while product is in hair. We knew going into this that this comes with the process, but it did actually really burn our eyes & throats and made us cough pretty bad. Next time we will just do this part in a better ventilated room or outside. It’s worth it for the end result!Highly recommend and don’t regret it!
Was an easy application, much cheaper than salon! Attached are my before and after photos (air dried both times). I applied it and left it on for 20 minutes before the heating process.
El producto hace su trabajo. Lo realicé tal como indican las instrucciones. Lo malo es que tiene un olor muy fuerte. No recomiendo hacerlo en una habitación cerrada, como un baño, porque es muy intenso. Yo lo apliqué luego de lavar bien el cabello, y luego lo sequé y planche. En una semana realice el primer lavado. Quedó bien suavecito y brillosito. Cuidado si no quieres que te quite las ondas porque si lo hace. Te deja como un alisado natural y saludable.
You don't realize after your 40's how easily your hair damages, between hair ties, styling, swimming, and just life. This treatment gave me back the hair I had. Will definitely buy again when I run out. Works amazing and has held up but I did purchase their shampoo and conditioner as well. Definitely make sure you're in a well ventilated room when you add to your hair, blow-dry and straighten it. I ended up using a small fan to keep the fumes away from my face.
My hair is thick and has a lot of volume,if you do it correctly it will last 3 to 4 months. Some tips: whenever you apply the product, use a fine-toothed comb after applying so that the product reaches all the hair. Before straightening, dry your hair with a brush and make it even smoother. When straightening, always use small strands and use a comb in between the straightener to keep the strands aligned and smooth. Flat iron each strand 10x to 12x each.
I have naturally curly hair. I have used a relaxer in my hair for years, until the summer of 2020 when I started getting a keratin at a salon. I paid $200 every eight weeks for a keratin and trim. My hair was very healthy and grew from a short bob to shoulder length. A few months ago, the salon I went to increased their prices from $150 to $300 per hour for keratin treatments. My beautician told me I could buy a bottle for $800, ugh…no!I found this product on Amazon and decided it was time to start doing my keratins. I applied the product the same way my beautician did…washed hair twice (no conditioner), applied product from roots to ends on damp hair, allowed the product to stay on for thirty minutes, blow dry hair completely, and flat ironed. My hair looks and feels the same after having a keratin done at a salon. I use permanent dye on my hair every three or four months and get regular trims (every eight weeks). Because keratin treatments do not break the chemical bond in the hair, I can still wear my hair curly or straight. Also, keratin treatments will lift color from your hair; my burgundy/black dyed hair will change to a light brown color after a keratin treatment, so I color my hair about a week or two after having one done. I expect the bottle to last at least four treatments; I will continue to buy this product. The photo attached was taken about 10 minutes after I finished the keratin treatment.
Es excelente!!!! quería hidratar mi cabello porque estaba maltratado por la decoloración y tenía mucho frizz . La apliqué con poco calor . Usé mi plancha en 390 y me quedó muy bien.
It works. If you follow the directions, you'll get the promised results. My hair wasn't terribly unruly. But it was frizzy and very reactive to humidity. My hair type is a 2c/3a. The process was long, but not horrible. It took about 2.5 hours from start to finish. Now, after I used the straightener, my hair felt so gross. It was stiff and felt synthetic. But after I washed it, it was like some magical hair fairy blessed me with perfect hair. It's sooooo soft, has body and no frizz.Here's why I'm torn.. the FUMES. Oh my gosh, the fumes had my ready to give up. My eyes were burning, my nose was burning. My throat was burning. (This was during the blow drying part of the process) I have very long hair, so if you're like me, I recommend having someone help you so that time is cut shorter. Wear a mask too. If you're willing to suffer through an hour of that, you'll love the results.

Easy to use and I’ve been using keratin treatments since 9 years ago, but this one is one of the best so far for the price and quality!
So I had to big chop last year in september due to getting a “keratin treatment” in the salon. i use quotation marks because i am very certain they used relaxer in my hair. when my hair got wet it was bone straight, it falling out and so damaged. fast forward to a few days ago and i wanted to try giving myself a keratin treatment to help make my thick, coily hair more manageable. KERATIN IS NOT SUPPOSED TO GET EID OF YOUR CURLS !!! i washed twice with a clarifying shampoo, sectioned my hair into four, applied the product and combed through with a fine tooth comb. let it sit with a plastic cap for 60 minutes, then i combed out the excess again before blow drying. the smoke was not bad, but i think it can be bad if you have a lot of excess on your hair. i did wear a mask for my own safety. i would recommend gloves because all the moisture is stripped from my hands and they are permanently pruney right now lol. all in all, i really love this treatment, how inexpensive, and easy it is to use. the results it’s given my hair is amazing for a home treatment. i will update after i wash it out to see how it holds up :)update: i left the product on for 5 days before my first wash. my curls are still in tact, just juicy, not frizzy and does not shrink !! i’m truly so freaking happy. my hair has been the bane of my existence for a long time, but i finally feel confident & like my hair is healthy.
Before pic of my permed + naturally curly hair (permed for more even curls) and after pics. I followed the steps and took these pics AFTER I washed my hair.I kept the solution in for 45min, squeezed out any extra before blow drying and straight ironing it at 410° F. Once straightened, I took a shower and shampoo+conditionered. I have fairly thin hair but instead of 20-30min blow drying plus time with straightener, this took only 5min with the Revlon roundbrush blow dryer. Super impressed!I didn't have too much of an issue with the fumes. Reading other reviews had me freaked out so I sat in our dining room near the sliding door with a small fan blowing over my head. I think the fan made the difference as it was a fairly pain-free easy process. I'll be doing this again!
It used to take me 25-30 minutes just to blow dry and then straighten my hair and even then, my hair would still have that frizzy look. The look where you know I don't have straight hair but I'm trying to make it happen. Then I found this stuff. I had never had a Keratin treatment before but I felt like this would be my attempt at seeing what it was all about. And yes, it's strong. Wear a mask and take frequent breaks while blow drying it. Your eyes will even burn and your throat if you're not smart about it. I left my hair dry and straight without washing for about 2 full days and then I finally took a shower and I was amazed at how smooth my hair felt. It only took me about 5 minutes to blow dry my hair and I didn't put any product in when blow drying. This is it dry without product and I plan on straightening with a little bit of product to get those frizzy end pieces a little smoother. I'm very happy with this product and what it did for my hair.

So I have to give credit where credit is due. This product took me for a whirlwind experience I will never forget. The smell…it’s horrible. My eyes burned. My throat burned. My nose was running into my mouth. But I knew this. I endured. I started in a ventilated bathroom with window wide open. But ended up having to move myself into our covered patio outside just so I could breath. All this aside though. I know if I used a mask and maybe started outside it would have worked out 10x better for me. But I did what I did and I don’t regret it. BECAUSE. I went from having 4a Type hair that took 2.5 hours to straighten or even blow dry that would sweat out within the hours, to, sleek strong vibrant and beautiful hair. I’ve been in awe of how it’s been the last few days. And I have enough to do it again in a few months when needed, while saving myself so much money. I cannot stress how much this product will do you good. But be prepared. Because she fights, and she’s good.

I was lazy and put off this review, but it’s been about a month and my hair is almost as glossy & frizz free as when I first did the treatment. So I expect that next time I do it, the results will be even better!I naturally have a lot of wavy, frizzy, tangled prone hair. After using this product however, I don’t really have these issues anymore. It’s very manageable now, and I have less breakage. My hair is also very strong and straight. All my little flyaways & baby hairs do not curl up and look crazy in humidity anymore. Before I would use a ton of hairspray to try to tame the flyways, but the results could not even compare to what this product does for my hair.While using this product I personally do not wash my hair until I have to. Despite the instructions saying you can immediately. I like to wait as long as I can before washing.There is one downside though, my hair used to have a lot of natural volume. I could flip my hair a few times and have incredible volume. But now it stays flat unless I use a root spray. My hair also has difficulty with holding curls now even with styling products. Another issue is a lot of my wavy hair products I used before that worked well on my hair, now weigh down my hair a ton and no longer work for me. I also have to wash my hair more frequently now, I used to be able to go almost a full week without washing. My hair now gets noticeably greasy after 2-3 days.I figured I would mention this because I was expecting it to be more sleek, and shiny, with less flyways. But it actually changed the texture, appearance, and the way my hair normally acts. If you are a proud wavy/curly girl, I’m not sure if you want to use this because it may permanently change that for you!I personally don’t mind it because I hated dealing with my hair before, looking forward to my next treatment. I probably have a good 5 treatments left too, so it’s worth the price!Make sure to use gloves, and apply in a well ventilated area. Not only do you not want to breath in the fumes, but they can also irritate your eyes! Next time I do mine, I’m going to do it outside.Edit (follow):It’s now November 2023, and I’m still a fan of this product. The chemicals are very strong but I’ve done about 4 spaced out treatments so far since I got it. And the parts that are treated look different from my natural hair. I now have a long lasting Pantene commercial shine on my hair. Staying it has become a bit more difficult now because my hair is now stays straighter and is more “slippery” than normal. So it no longer holds a curl like it used to without either doing it overnight or using a lot of heat. Overtime it’s become a lot less frizzy and naturally more manageable. I also still have a good portion of the bottle left (about 6 treatments I would say!) The chemicals do burn the eyes though so I normally do this outside or in a room with the window/fan on with a mask because it’s intense. But the effect it has on my hair is just worth it to me.

My daughter hair has never been as smooth or as tame as it was after using the keratin products.Pros: lasts a long time (ours lasted 3-4 weeks)Cons: It may not smell like much from taking a quick whiff but it is very potent. Wear masks and if nothing else, do this outside, take breaks, etc. My daughter coughed for a couple of days and spent the rest of that first day in tears because of the odor. But she was willing to fight through if it meant she could have straight hair.Perks: I've used Brazilian Blowout and these products are a great inexpensive alternative.
uhm I don’t normally write reviews but …… ohhh myyy …. I’ve spent like $300 each time getting keratins done at the salon, and this is by far the best results I have ever had and I did it MYSELF and for such a good price are you kidding me. This picture is my hair AIR DRIED and slept on after the first wash….when I tell you my hair is thick and curly and frizzy and was so unmanageable and after hundreds of dollars spent on curly hair products nothing ever made my hair look good. I used a leave in conditioner and a little oil in this pic and let it air dry. Like I’m baffled. This is life changing. I wish I had taken a picture of my hair before but it was so frizzy and poofy and curly and I could do nothing but straighten it to look decent. I can not recommend this enough. I waited 48 hours before washing :)
I bought this as a quick fix because traveling to a super hot country, and I needed help with the frizz on my hair. I’ve done Keratin before, but with hair stylists, and this one turned out to be okay for the price, and to do it myself at home. I was a lil skeptical to be honest, but if you do the steps by steps the right way, it should works wonders.Picture #1: the “before”. I was wearing my hair all natural, no chemical procedures or else. Curly a bit.Picture #2: was after I washed my hair with clarifying shampoo, I bought one at my local Target (Tresemme). *you supposed to dry about 85-90%*Picture #3: after I applied the Keratin product. Let it for about 30min before blow dry and use the iron. *tip: when you blow dry your hair, try to use a mask, the product will come off thru the air and it would bother while breathing, and can bother your eyesight to.* the whole time I blow dry my hair, had eyes closed.Picture #4: FINAL RESULT🥳Be patient, this is a good product if used correctly. If you want better results, I’ll recommend you go to the beauty salon.
I have very thick hair that is prone to frizz. I have had professional keratin treatments in the salon, but those cost me well over 300$. This product did just as good a job or maybe even better! I'm still surprised by the results! My after photo is with no heat and all product washed out! I'm still amazed that I could wear my hair natural by just using this one product!

I have completely virgin, extra curly hair (no colors, no damage). I watched a few YouTube videos for THIS specific brand. Washed several times with a well known clarifying shampoo until every inch squeaked clean (no conditioner). Towel dried. Applied unscented lotion to my ears and around my forehead and neck to avoid any possible burns (barely felt the product on my scalp with sensitive skin). Stuffed a huge fan in the window!!! Applied the Keragen straightener with gloved hands. I combed it through and removed excess product using a comb. Blow dried it completely dry and flat ironed it forever. I bought the same brand of shampoo and conditioner for 3 days later. I did a better job than the salon did!
I have extraordinarily difficult hair to straighten chemically. I LOVE this stuff. This was my 5th attempt this year (different brands) and have even tried ethnic straighteners with no luck. My hair is straight! It’s amazingly smooth and soft and silky. I can actually run my fingers through it. For the first time in my life I can let it air dry down. I can blow dry it for the first time without an Afro. The fumes while applying the treatment are really harsh. I was outside and still needed to cover my face from them however I LOVE the results so much I will use this product again and again!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! Also, I have super long hair and only used half a bottle!
This product works very well. Definitely need a second person to help apply it (I took it to the school and had them apply) the smell is strong while application is in progress but very worth it.

This product is excellent for DIYers who like to save money and do things themselves. As other commenters have said, the fumes when you are blow drying are NO joke so please be in a well ventilated area. There is also a sticky feeling after you are done applying but you can wash your hair the next day and it’ll be gone. This has improved my hair’s health, manageability and overall time it takes to style my hair (blow dry and flat iron). My regularly curly hair is practically straight after blow drying and super sleek after flat ironing. It has not ruined my curl pattern at all. Highly recommend if you can withstand the fumes.
This product works great on my clients. It is easy to use and the smell is not overwhelming. I am a hairstylist and have used many different brands of keratin treatments over the last 20 years. I saw some people reviewing how bad it is when they dry it… that is from over saturation. No treatment should be that bad when drying or ironing.
I’ve been using this product for years and it never fails. I did it myself this time and yes the fumes are very strong but if you take the necessary measures you should be fine. I have 4c hair and this product just nourish and doesn’t take away my curls which it what I wanted. If someone can apply it awesome but if you’re going to do it yourself make sure that you don’t touch the scalp or hell will break loose LOL. Other than that highly recommended.
